Week#2 Agenda
Hello EFL537'ers,

 Below is our agenda for tonight's class. I'll be joining in live at 7pm. Work on Hour#1 tasks beforehand. If you encounter any major obstacles, don't spend too much banging your head against the monitor.  Move on to the next task and we'll sort things out during Hour#2.  

Hour#1  (feel free to start a hangout on your own to work together on these tasks - guide here)
 
  Mikogo 
(Desktop Sharing)
   Blogger Tasks
  • create a short 'About Me' page ( guide here) and move it to the top menu bar of your blog.
    (please note the difference between 'pages' and 'posts' in the guide)
  • create a new post that contains at least one image (guide here) with a  short description. Feel free to upload additional photos. 
  • go to YouTube.com.  Find a video of interest (doesn't have to be CALL related) and post it on your blog. (guide here)
  Diigo Task
  • Sample the website buffet (or these other sources of links. Bookmark at least five websites of (genuine) interest. Include appropriate tags (e.g. pronunciation, listening, vocabulary).  Also include the tag 'EFL537' for anything relevant to CALL.

    • Share Desktops using Mikogo
    • Add a Diigo Feed to your blog
    • Introduction to Google Reader. Import the efl537.opml into Google Reader.

    - 1st reflection blog post
    By next Wednesday, please write a 2-4 paragraph reflection on your blog. 
    • How are 21st century digital literacies likely to impact your teaching environments and professional development?
    - Keep bookmarking sites with Diigo and adding subscriptions to your Google Reader.
